Strategic Importance
The Choczewo nuclear power plant is Poland’s largest energy infrastructure project and a cornerstone of the country’s long-term energy strategy. It is designed to:
- ensure baseload, zero-emission power,
- strengthen energy security,
- support deep decarbonisation,
- complement variable renewables (offshore wind, solar)
Once fully operational, the plant could supply around 20% of todays Poland’s electricity demand.
